Introducing: Inkitt for iOS

Hello, my lovely readers! Today I have a special treat for you, provided by the lovely folks at Inkitt. Starting today, November 16, 2016, Inkitt has launched its first mobile book reading app for iPhone and iPad readers.

Inkitt is an algorithm based book site dedicated to supporting the full scope of the literary community: all writers are welcome to write their stories on Inkitt, and pending approval by community guidelines, those stories are then read and rated by readers, who are encouraged to provide feedback. Inkitt’s main goal is create a positive and uplifting space where writers can develop themselves and support each other. Along with that, Inkitt provides its over 700,000 readers with stories by up-and-coming authors from a wide range of genres, as well as various writing, editing, and reviewing groups for both authors and readers to use as a resource, and free writing competitions that offer both cash prizes and publishing deals for winners.

I love this site mostly for its attention to community and acknowledgment that all writers deserve the chance to be read and published. Inkitt’s new mobile app aims to make discovering these emerging authors even easier, allowing access to stories offline, user customization of font and background coloring, as well as curated book lists tailored to the readers’ tastes. “As more people read digitally we want to make it easier and faster for people to access great literature wherever they are, whether on the go or relaxing at home,” says Inkitt’s Founder and CEO, Ali Albazaz. “Inkitt’s iOS app will better enable emerging authors to share their work with test readership groups and give readers globally the opportunity to turn the page on one of the world’s next best sellers.” Check it out for yourself below.

For you Android users, don’t fret: an Android compatible app is currently in the works and should be available in the coming months.

Download the Inkitt app today: it’s now available on all App Stores globally.
